Russian cosmonaut Ivan Vagner shares stunning footage of auroras with unexpected lights, UFOs from captured from the International Space Station (ISS).

In a video shared by Russian cosmonaut Ivan Vagner from the International Space Station (ISS) in August 2020, viewers were treated to breathtaking views of Earth's auroras. However, what caught the attention of many were the unexpected lights on the horizon that Vagner referred to as "space guests".

Vagner took to Twitter to share the mesmerising footage, stating, "In the video, you will see something else, not only the aurora." The intriguing moment occurs between the 9 to 12 second mark, where a group of lights swiftly appears before disappearing.

While initial speculation suggested the possibility of unidentified flying objects, it is likely that the lights are, in fact, satellites. The most probable explanation is that these are part of the Starlink broadband satellite constellation launched by SpaceX.

SpaceX, founded by Elon Musk, has been actively deploying Starlink satellites to create a global satellite internet network. The timing of Vagner's video aligns with a SpaceX Starlink launch that took place just a day before the cosmonaut shared the footage.

As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding the identity of the lights captured in the video. However, given the context, it is reasonable to infer that the "space guests" are Starlink satellites. These satellites are known for their bright and reflective appearance when illuminated by the Sun, shortly after deployment.

Vagner's description of the lights as "space guests" adds a touch of intrigue to the video, but it is crucial to emphasise that these are likely man-made satellites and not evidence of extraterrestrial activity. The advancements in satellite technology, particularly with projects like Starlink, continue to provide stunning visual spectacles for those aboard the ISS and viewers on Earth.

There were two other lights caught moving horizontally in the video for a much briefer period with a larger space between them.
