On Sunday the 3rd of June 2022 at approximately 8:30pm it's alleged that five people dragged a 70 year old woman 200 metres away from her home and beat her to death with sticks under the assumption that she had been practiced witchcraft.

After outliving four husbands and accused of the murder of one of them, Dame Alice Kyteler’s children collectively accused Alice of sorcery which led to a witch hunt initiated by the Bishop of Ossory, Richard de Ledrede.
