As the clock ticks down to the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve, a group of paranormal enthusiasts will gather at the infamous Harrisville farmhouse in Rhode Island. This historic residence served as the eerie inspiration for the 2013 supernatural thriller, "The Conjuring," and has long been rumored to be haunted by the ghost of Bathsheba Herman, a former resident from the 1800s.

The event, set to be hosted by paranormal investigator, Monique Toosoon, alongside author and clairvoyant Sam Baltrusis, promises to be an unforgettable night of ghostly exploration. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to conduct their own paranormal investigations within the walls of the Harrisville home, armed with ghost hunting equipment provided by the hosts.

The story of the Harrisville farmhouse is steeped in mystery and has captured the imagination of those fascinated by the supernatural. In 2013, it gained widespread attention as the primary inspiration for the horror film "The Conjuring," directed by James Wan. The film recounted the real life experiences of Ed and Lorraine Warren, well known paranormal investigators, who claimed to have encountered malevolent spirits during their investigation of the farmhouse.

The house's dark history is said to revolve around Bathsheba Sherman, a woman accused of practicing witchcraft and causing harm to children. Local legends and tales of paranormal encounters have only intensified over the years, contributing to the property's status as a magnet for those intrigued by the paranormal.

The current owner, a Boston developer with a penchant for the paranormal, acquired the Harrisville farmhouse in 2022 for a reported $1.5 million. Since then, the property has become a hub for ghost enthusiasts, hosting tours and unique events like "ghamping," or "ghost camping."

This New Year's Eve, the property will be transformed into a haven for those in search of unexplained events, offering an intimate setting for only 18 brave souls who dare to delve into the mysteries that linger within its walls. The event promises more than just paranormal investigations, guests will be treated to a midnight champagne toast, with food, snacks, soda, and water provided throughout the night.

As attendees set out to explore the haunted corridors of the Harrisville home, they will be guided by the duo of Monique Toosoon and Sam Baltrusis, who will share their insights on all things paranormal.

A recent incident involving a fire in the barn on the property adds an unexpected twist to the narrative. While the barn suffered damage, the main structure of the Conjuring house remains intact. The owner has assured the public that the fire was not caused by supernatural forces, debunking any notions of ghostly interference.

For those daring enough to face the unknown, tickets for this exclusive New Year's Eve event are priced at $250. With only 18 spots available.
