The Lambert family return after two prequels to the Insidious franchise to face their demons that hide behind a red door in The Further.

WARNING: Some possible spoilers ahead!

In the latest installment of the Insidious franchise the Lambert family are back after two prequels that didn't fair as good as the first two Insidious movies.

This time around it's set 9 years after Insidious: Chapter 2 and both Josh and Dalton Lambert have had their memory suppressed for the whole year that the first two movies took place in.

This leads to Josh's memory becoming foggy and initially looks as to be the cause of Renai and Josh getting a divorce.

The movie starts into the jump and scream scene's after Dalton has been dropped to college by his father, Josh. Upon attending his art class with the much sought after Professor Armagan, things start to go south like a lead weight in water.

Professor Armagen asks her class to dig deep into their own personal memories and experiences as she counts down from ten and as she hits one Josh is right into drawing some strangely familiar pictures.

The movie has the usual jump and scream scenes, but there is a whole lot more to the fright scenes this time around and it isn't just a case of the stereotypical horror movie type scenes being used, there is some of this though as well.

To find out what happens as Dalton, Josh and others try and navigate 'The Further' this time you'll need to go and check out the movie for yourself.

This time around Patrick Wilson who has been the lead male character in Insidious, Insidious: Chapter 2 and Insidious: The Red Door, directed Insidious: The Red Door and it looks like he may have pulled the declining franchise back from the dead after the two previous movies, Insidious: Chapter 3 and Insidious: The Last Key, which were both prequels to the first Insidious movie and didn't revolve around the story of the Lambert family.

Overall it was a good watch, maybe even, just possibly the best movie of the Insidious franchise...

P.S. - Make sure to stick around till the credits are over.
