Ireland Report / Story
There are now nine confirmed cases of monkeypox in Ireland the HPSC has said in their latest update on the spread of monkeypox.

All cases are male and aged between 30 and 50 years of age with the median age being 37 years of age.

Again the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has stated that the cases are not unexpected following the presence of monkeypox cases in the UK and many European countries.

The Public Health teams are following up each case and contacting close contacts of confirmed cases where required.
