Ireland Report / Story
Sometimes somebody from a profession where it is discouraged to talk about UFOs or even encounters with unexplained objects or lights during the individuals working hours.

One of these such individuals was Gordon Pendleton who at the time in 1968 was a pilot for Aer Lingus.

Mr. Pendleton was flying on the 21st of May 1962 from Cork, Ireland to Brussels, Belgium on a Viscount aircraft.

While at approximately 17,000 feet Mr. Pendleton noticed a brown in colour object that was reported as spherical in shape while the aircraft was over Wales. The object was also witnessed by the co-pilot, J.P. Murphy.

Mr. Pendleton was reported to have estimated the speed of the object at 600 knots. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a tough enough thing to do to estimate speed, especially so in the air with two possibly moving objects.
