Ireland Report / Story
In May 2025, unexplained aerial phenomena were reported in different parts of Ireland. Witnesses described unusual lights, strange movements, and unidentified objects in the night sky. The following are three such accounts which detail separate sightings around Ireland.

Bray, County Wicklow (May 6th, 2025)

On May the 6th, 2025, at approximately 11:40 PM local time in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, a solitary observer reported witnessing an unusual aerial phenomenon. The sighting lasted about five minutes. The observer described the object as exhibiting characteristics that did not align with known aircraft or natural phenomena.

Portadown, Northern Ireland (May 10th, 2025)

On May the 10th, 2025, at approximately 11:45 PM local time in Portadown, Northern Ireland, three observers reported witnessing a bright white light moving silently and swiftly across the sky. The object traveled from the southwest to the northeast at an estimated elevation of 45°, appearing larger than surrounding stars and moving faster than a nearby DHL cargo plane from Cincinnati, which was audible overhead. The light exhibited an aura or haze and made no sound, contrasting with the audible aircraft. Flight tracking data showed no known aircraft in the vicinity at that time. The sighting lasted about a minute. NUFORC noted that the International Space Station (ISS) was visible over nearby Armagh at 11:35 PM, following a similar trajectory, suggesting the ISS as a possible explanation.

Newbridge, County Kildare (May 27th, 2025)

On May the 27th, 2023, at approximately 11:00 PM, a witness in Dublin, Ireland, reported observing a bright, star-like object moving erratically across the night sky. The object exhibited sudden changes in direction and speed, unlike any known aircraft. The sighting lasted for about 10 minutes before the object vanished from view. The witness emphasized that the object's movements were unlike any conventional aircraft or satellite, leading them to believe it was an unidentified flying object.
