A new independent body focused on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) is being officially launched tomorrow, 19th May 2025, at an event in central London. The UK Disclosure Group, led by UFO investigator and filmmaker Mark Christopher Lee, will unveil its mission at the Karma Sanctum Hotel in Soho, calling for full transparency from the UK Government on the issue of UFOs.
The group’s formation comes amid a sharp rise in reports of unexplained aerial activity across the United Kingdom, many of which involve craft displaying advanced capabilities beyond known drone technology. The group argues these sightings raise urgent questions concerning national security, aviation safety, and governmental accountability.
At the launch, the group will deliver a formal public statement urging the government to disclose all relevant information about UAPs. This includes the release of classified documents, comprehensive investigations into recent sightings, and the implementation of legal protections for whistleblowers - in line with recent measures adopted in the United States.
Mark Christopher Lee said,
In a public gesture aimed at raising the profile of the movement, the group has extended an invitation to singer Robbie Williams to become its figurehead. Williams has spoken previously about his interest in UFOs and his own personal experiences.
As part of the launch, the group will host the UK premiere of The King of UFOs, a documentary directed by Lee and produced in association with the Raindance Film Festival. The film investigates the alleged historical interest of the British Royal Family in UFOs, using archival footage and witness accounts.
The documentary has attracted attention from international UFO researchers and documentary professionals, and is expected to play a central role in the tomorrow evening’s discussions.
The UK Disclosure Group reports a notable rise in unusual aerial sightings across the country over the past 18 months. Witnesses have described objects travelling silently at speeds exceeding 1,600 kilometres per hour, hovering with no visible propulsion systems, and displaying unconventional light formations.
The group warns that these incidents could represent foreign surveillance activity, technological threats, or phenomena not yet understood by current science - and are calling for a coordinated governmental investigation.
The UK Disclosure Group is a non-partisan, independent organisation made up of investigators, filmmakers, journalists, scientists, and activists. The group’s mission is to shift the UFO debate from speculation to evidence-based public policy, and to support those coming forward with credible information on UAPs.

Mark Christopher Lee said,
“We are not dealing with science fiction - we are dealing with real events, real sightings, and real security implications,”
“The UK is falling behind the US when it comes to open dialogue and transparency. We must create an independent, safe platform for whistleblowers in the UK to share what they know - without fear of ridicule or reprisal.”
In a public gesture aimed at raising the profile of the movement, the group has extended an invitation to singer Robbie Williams to become its figurehead. Williams has spoken previously about his interest in UFOs and his own personal experiences.
“Robbie has long been a champion for taking the UFO topic seriously,” Lee said. “He has both the courage and the cultural influence to help shift the conversation from the margins into the mainstream. We believe his involvement could be truly historic.”
