12 Additional Monkeypox Cases in Ireland - Latest Update from Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) - 17th August 2022

There have been 12 additional confirmed cases of monkeypox in Ireland the HPSC has said in their latest update on the spread of monkeypox since the last update on the 10th August 2022.

These 12 additional confirmed cases beings the total of confirmed monkeypox cases to 113.

Again the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has stated that the cases are not unexpected following the presence of monkeypox cases in the UK and many European countries.

The Public Health teams are following up each case and contacting close contacts of confirmed cases where required.
