Black Object Collides with a Tree Verge in Northern Ireland in December 1958

On the 29th of December 1958 a farmer in Northern Ireland near Portglenone had am unnerving experience near Ballymena.
Farmer, Joseph Bennett observed a black object that crashed through a tree and then proceeded to carry on out of sight.
Joseph recalls, "The thing was about seven feet broad and flashed towards me some twenty feet up", he went on to say, "It came from the south and traveled in a northwesterly direction. Next thing I saw was its swift passage through a row of trees dividing two farms at Gartfadd. it cut one forty foot oak tree in half and then vanished a few seconds later".
No evidence of the witnessed object was found but it is reported that there was damage found to a couple of trees at the location where Joseph reported the incident took place.
