Under a FOIA or Freedom of Information Act request it has been reveled that the Barack Obama Presidential Library claims to have 3,440 pages and 26,271 electronic files which possibly relate to UFOs and other related phenomena.

The FOIA request was submitted by John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault website, the website is a database of declassified government documents.

In the FOIA request Greenewald asked for "documents and communications about the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program and photos and videos of Unidentified Flying Objects, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena/Phenomenon and the Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Application Program." to which he received a reply that not even he was ready for.

Obama did say on his appearance on The Late Show with James Corden that UFOs are real but went on to say jokingly, "When it comes to aliens, there are some things I just can’t tell you on air,".

He followed up by saying, "But what is true is that there is footage and records of objects in the sky that we don’t know exactly what they are. How they move, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern. So I think that people still take that seriously and try to figure out what that is."

With the number of reported documents to review and most likely redact, there is still no idea as to what, how much information or anything of use or interested will surface when all these documents are released.
